SAVANNAH- Jo Ann Gentry Cupstid, 76, died Monday, June 06, 2011 at Hospice House.
The Screven, GA native grew up in Hinesville, attending local schools and graduating from Bradwell Institute. She later graduated from Georgia Teachers College, now Georgia Southern University. Mrs. Cupstid taught High School College Placement English at Windsor Forest High School, Tompkins High School, and Bradwell Institute before retiring after thirty-two years as an educator.
Surviving are her husband of thirty-eight years, Thomas O'Neal Cupstid of Savannah; three daughters, Gail Drabczuk and her husband, Jan, of Oveita, FL, Maureen Smith and her husband, Charles, of Wilmington, NC, and Margaret Sullivan of Raleigh, NC; two sisters, Mary Breckenridge of Donaldsonville, GA and Saundra Henderson and her husband, Lewis, of Hinesville; her brother, James Gentry and his wife, Nina, of Conroe, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests any remembrances be made to Hospice Savannah, Inc., P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
Funeral Services will be private.
