SAVANNAH – Dorothy Ogletree Clark, born November 21, 1913, passed away June 14, 2011 at age 97.
Mrs. Clark was a lifelong member of First Christian Church, was an active choir member, taught Sunday school, and belonged to the Ladies Circle.
Mrs. Clark graduated from Valdosta State College with a BS degree and received her Masters and her six year degree from Georgia Southern College.
Mrs. Clark taught many years in the Chatham County School System and was also a guidance counselor at Richard Arnold Junior High School. She retired as Librarian at Bartlett Middle School.
Mrs. Clark was the widow of Lawrence Lee Billy Clark Senior and is survived by three children. Dorothy E. DE Clark, Lynn Clark Getty husband Kershaw, and Lawrence Lee Clark wife Lolli.
Mrs. Clark had seven grandchildren, Tom Holloway, Cindi Dean, Leigh Hinkel, Shelby Butler, Jennifer Zervis, Rance Clark, and Aislinn Getty; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand.
Visitation at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel on Thursday, June 16 from 5-7 PM.
Funeral services, Graveside, Friday, June 17, 10 AM at the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery with Pastor Kershaw Getty officiating.
