Savannah- Thelma Jane Caine Tarver, 95, died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was a native of Baltimore, MD but lived in Savannah most of her life before moving to Bulloch County twenty three years ago. She was a life long homemaker and while living in Savannah, was a member of White Bluff Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Samuel Hartwell Tarver, Sr.

Survivors include her son, Samuel Hartwell Tarver, Jr. and his wife, Dessie; grandchildren, Samuel Hartwell Tarver, III Cathy, Leon Talmadge Tarver, Dee Hudson Donald, Daniel Rule Tarver Kathryn, and Rochelle Stokes Jodie; nine great-grand children and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.
