Mildred Wiggins was my neighbor. She was truly a friend to me and my family, She was loved and will be truly missed.

Dear Family, We are so sad to hear about Mrs. Wiggins. She was a wonderful lady. I will always picture her working outside in her little straw hat. My Grandma, Mrs. Downs lived across the street. We grew up listening to Grandma, Mrs. Wiggins and Mrs. Colson talking on the porch while we played in the yard. Mrs. Wiggins would always bring Grandma a coke from the store, or a piece of cake from her oven. Mr. Wiggins was very sweet too. He would leave Grandmas paper at her door to keep her from having to walk out to the mailbox. They were more than friends. They are family. We will surely miss her. We love you all, The Downs, Bragg and Andre' families

- Debby Bragg Morris, Savannah, GA

My cousin Mildred was a beautiful lady, and a stranger to none. Several times during my career at the Chatham County Health Department my nurse friends would tell me that they had met her in grocery stores, fast food places or out shopping. She would recognize our public health uniforms and tell them about me. Family was so important to her, and I feel certain that heaven has received another angel.

- Deborah A. Dean, Bloomingdale, GA

I meet Mrs.Wiggins in 2007 when i moved directly across the street from her...she will truely be missed by the Duncan family. She will be someone i consider as a friend forever....even when i moved to Atlanta each time i was in town I made trips to see her... love you always mrs.wiggins.

- Candice Duncan, Atlanta, GA

Mildred and mom were connected for 60 years. Their 'over the fence' conversations endured the raising of children, the loss of husbands and unspoken words that only the best of aging friends can understand. I'm so grateful Mildred was there for our mom. Chel
