Savannah, Georgia - Lorraine Lapointe DeCampos, 81, died July 20, 2011. She was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, daughter of Emery and Ludivine Letourneau Lapointe.
Lorraine devoted her life to her loving husband and children. Her grandchildren were a special joy to her throughout her life. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and
playing cards with friends. She lived most of her life in New Bedford where she worked for more than forty years in the garment industry until she retired to Savannah.
Lorraine is survived by her husband of sixty years, Frederick DeCampos of Savannah, GA; children, Wesley and Joanne DeCampos of Hallowell, ME;
Robert and Kathleen DeCampos of S. Dartmouth, MA; Debra and Lester Hendrix of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Brian and Jason DeCampos of Hallowell, ME; Robert DeCampos II of S. Dartmouth, MA; Jodi DeCampos of Acushnet, MA; and Sean and Ryan Hendrix of Savannah, GA; several siblings and many nieces and nephews throughout New
England.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 25, 2011 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Church, S. Dartmouth, MA, August 5, 2011 at 9:00 a.m.
