Murray T. Cochran, Sr., 73, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at his home under the care of Hospice Savannah.
He was a native of Bibb County but lived most of his life in Savannah. Murray served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after thirty years of service with Owens Corning. His mother, Frances Purser Cochran and sister, Sue Trutte preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Angelyn Helmey; children, Cindy Adams, Eric, Sylvia Spilliards Robert, Murray Cochran, Jr. Lucy, Chris Cochran Brandy, Kim Birge Larry, Kerry, Kelly, and Kristi Helmey, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
