Dear Carl and Family, I loved hearing your father reminisce a few years ago about growing up in the Parkside neighborhood. When I put together a book about Savannah neighborhoods, I was especially thankful for his memories and wonderful details! What a kind gentleman,as well as a respected attorney and judge. My sympathy to you all at this sad time. Thinking of you, Polly

When I started the practice of law in Savannah, the bar was a close group. A young lawyer could always call on older lawyers for experienced advise. Judge Elmore was one of those experienced members of the bar and he was most generous with his time and experience. I always had great respect and admiration for him as a friend and colleague. I extend my condolences to his family.

The Judge was a good friend of my Mother-Tina Sullivan and my father-John J. Sullivanattorney. I am sorry to find out in the Savannah Morning News that he passed a way. My mother told me that he was a good man that took great care of wife and family; and if any thing should happen go and see him. My father knew him as an attorney and also as the Judge, my father was also in the Al-temple in the patrole. He also played golf at the Bonaventure Golf course. Each day will get better, the first year is the hardest, He is with God now and in Heaven;with his wife and all of his friends now. I will say a prayer for him. Although I did not know Judge Elmore, I wanted to express my gratitude for his military service to his country as well as for his service to the citizens of Savannah. May he be carried into heaven on the wings of angels and find his rest there.
