Viola Mabel Martin

Viola Mabel Martin, 91 of Savannah, GA died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at her home under the care of Hospice Savannah. Born in Waycross, GA she spent her childhood in Savannah, moved around as the wife of a Navy man, and came back to Savannah where she lived the rest of her life.

Mrs. Martin, an avid homemaker, was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and spent many years leading the Ladies Wednesday craft group.

Married for 65 years, she is survived by her husband Evvard "Tootie"
Martin, two daughters; Cathy Brandon and Gloria Brown, four grandchildren; Vicki Larkin, Rita Reed, Cheryl Parrish, and Alan Brown, and 4 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday October 7th at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

The Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday October 9th at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 10 West 31st St.

Interment immediately following at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.

Memorials in her honor may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Hospice Savannah.
