My thoughts and prayers are with Becton family. Tinka and Polly your mother was one of the sweetest persons I have ever known. At the age of 14, I first met Mrs. Becton while working at the A&P grocery store at DeRenne and White Bluff Road. I was working there as a young bag boy part time while on summer vacation. Every, Friday I made it a point to carry out her groceries to her car. That's when I met Tinka my first sweet heart and fell madly in love. That was over a half a century ago. While experiencing the love and affections from the Becton family I remember her charm, sense of humor and infectious smile. Even though there are no profound or clever words that can accurately depict what an immense; person Mrs. Becton was, I will always remember that enthusiastic, outgoing character that she possessed. Yet over all, it is truly Mrs. Becton undying love and devotion to her family that defines the lady I have known, respected and loved. Wayne Disher

Tinka, Polly and Family, Your Mother, Betty, was a great neighbor and friend. We will always remember the great lemon & mincemeat pies she made in return for small favors we did for her. She couldn't understand why we weren't in her pool the whole summer, since she enjoyed it so much and invited us. Many fond memories.
