WILMINGTON ISLAND - Edward Francis Kenard, 91, died Thursday, December 1, 2011 at his home in Savannah, GA.
He was a native and a lifelong resident of Savannah. He had retired from Kaiser Agricultural and Chemical as electrical maintenance supervisor March 14th 1981 after 25 years of service. Mr. Kenard was a member of St. Peter of the Apostle Catholic Church on Wilmington Island.
Mr. Kenard attended Marist Brothers School for Boys and graduated from Benedictine Military Schools.
Survivors: His wife and partner after seventy years of marriage, Bettie Evelyn Elliott Kenard, son, deceased Gary E. Kenard, daughter and son-in- law, Barbara E. and David L. Land of Beebe, Arkansas; son and daughter-in- law, Steven M. and Joyce W. Kenard of Savannah and 8 grand children and 8 great grand children.
Visitation & Funeral service: Visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. and the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel with Father Patrick O'Brien officiating.
Burial will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
