Jean, and Chuck & Pat and family, As I type this, tears are falling on the keyboard. We will all miss Charles, and know your hearts are hurting, too. Charles had a life well-lived. He was, simply stated, a great American, as well as a loving devoted husband, and showed his parenting abilities by raising with Jean two fine sons. It was my privilege to know him, and may he rest in peace, and we pray for peace of mind for the family who loved him. Doug & Pam Andrews

By the grace of God, I was there in the hospital years ago when Charles suffered a ruptured aneurysm, and the only vascular surgeon in the hospital then was me. As God clearly looked after Charles then as Charles often reminded me, I have no doubt God will keep him in the palm of his hand now. I had not the opportunity to reacquaint myself with Charles or Jean until Doug brought us in proximity through the American Legion Post 184. I have enjoyed my discussions with him and Jean and wish we could have many more years, but it was not God's plan. Charles was always right on target with everything he analyzed. He was of great help in providing wise counsel for the E-Board of the Post on which he served until now. We will all miss him and our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to his family as they struggle through this sorrow. Dr. Tom Freeman

Charles will remain in our fond memories until we also go home to see his face again in God's house of many mansions. Charles middle name must have really been SERVICE, because he served his community in many ways, from Little League ball, to the St. Patricks Day Parade Committee where I came to know him as a man of integrity, with great love for his family and his faith. He was stalwart in his support of veterans at the American Legion Post 184 and his absence will create a void not to be ever fully filled in our leadership team, knowing his advice was always sound, and to the point. Judy and I hope that the fond memories of their life with Charles will soon overcome the grief his family now feels caused by his passing to everlasting life in God's care. Bill & Judy Quinan
