Savannah- Clifford Nicholes Roberds, III, 80, died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Coolidge Palms Assisted Living Resort in Hollywood, Florida.
He was a native of Savannah and graduate of Savannah High School, Class of 1949. Mr. Roberds received an Industrial Engineering Degree from Georgia Tech in 1953, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. After college he returned to Savannah and worked with the family business, Roberds Dairy, until its closing in 1986. He was a member of the Savannah Yacht Club and attended St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Mr. Roberds is survived by his sister, Christine Harrison; niece, Christy Harrison Redmond and her husband, Brian; great-niece, Brianna Redmond, and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
A Graveside Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2012 in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
