Willie James Kelley Jr.

Willie James Kelley Jr., 64, died January 24, 2012 at Emory University Hospital under the care of VistaCare Hospice. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, the fourth child of the late Willie James Kelley Sr. and Annabelle Whitfield Kelley. He graduated in 1966 from the Boys High School in Brooklyn and attended Camp Kilmer Job Corp. in Edison, NJ where he was also employed for ten years as a Residential Advisor.

He moved to Savannah where he was employed with the Georgia Ports Authority, retiring after twenty-six years of service as a Clerk Operator. He was a faithful member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church where he served on the Vestry, Financial Secretary, Junior Warden also a dedicated member of the Men's Club.

Surviving are his loving wife Georgette Kelley, sons Conrad and Christopher Kelley, grandson Emmanuel Kelley all of Savannah; brothers Louis Iris Kelley of Queens, NY; Richard Patricia Kelley of Augusta, GA; Walter Deborah Kelley of Bronx, NY; sisters Barbara Rivers-Elyria, OH; Virginia Kelley of Brooklyn, NY; aunts Mary Greene and Lena Kelley both of Brooklyn, NY; Doreen Janssen Chisholm, Conrad Carlene Wilkinson, Ronald Wilkinson Sidney Azalea Wilkinson, John Myrtle Leo, Fitzroy Brow, Hewlett Brow, Juliette Brow, William Celestine Whaley, Lydia Huggins & host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, special daughter-in-law, Anica Williams and special friends, Perry and Gloria Gaines.

Visitation: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 30, 2012 at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church conducted by the Reverend Cheryl Parris.

Burial: The Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
