GUEST BOOK

Birdie and family, Pat and I Love how Joy loved us, as part of the family, always with the utmost respect. The imprint of her great heart towards God and her love towards her husband, children, grand-children and in-laws....and all who were privileged to have been close to her...is evidenced in our sense of loss. We can only thank God and wonder of His Love towards us who were recipients of this wonderful woman's love. ...with love, Jim and Pat Buxton

Birdie, I was so saddened to hear of Joy's passing. She was such a special person and I have such fond memories of your family back during the 'Chapman' days. We really had some great times. I lost Don back in July due to lung cancer so I truly understand your loss. My love and prayers go out to you and your family.

Joy was a very special part of my childhood growing up in West End. She was eight years older than me but was my very special friend. I remember thinking how beautiful and sweet she was as she spent many hours with my family. I had lost all contact with her until a friend sent me her obituary from the Pilot newspaper. I am so glad that she had a loving family for this is what she deserved. My thoughts and prayers are with those special to her.

Joy was a close family friend, and also my life-long personal friend. Joy was a unique lady with a passion for life, things and places she loved, and above all, devoted to her family and friends. I will miss her and remember her fondly, but feel that she will still be watching over us, only from a higher place. Our love and sympathy to the family.

- Vernon Jones Vernon, Lisa, Benjamin & Ashley, Columbia, SC

Grandma' Joy, how my two grandkids that she loved so much, always called her was a very nice and lovely neighbour. We met so many time in the front yard talking about families, cats, and the grandkids. She was so proud of her grandkids! We will miss very much her smile and her nice presence. We are sure that she will smile to us from the haven.

- Giorgio and Anna Maria Magliulo, Savannah, GA

Miss Joy, or 'Grandma,' as my children called her, was like a second mom to me. We shared many hours talking about the world, trying to predict everything from the weather to the presidency. I can picture her—coffee cup in hand—advising the angels of their celestial duties! Although I know I'll see her again one day, more than anything, I'll miss her sweet friendship and her adoring phone messages: 'George, call me.' Much love to the family.
