Robert C. "Bob" Turner
- SAVANNAH - Robert C. "Bob" Turner, born January 19, 1944 passed away on February 6, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. Bob served in the U. S. Army. He then went on to become very successful in life and business, starting an outdoor advertising company in 1981 that still operates in Virginia Beach, VA. He was an avid motorcycle and sports car enthusiast and was a member of the Landings Locos and the Landings Automobile Society. Bob was also a member of Kiwanis on Skidaway Island. He had a love for travel and adventure and loved all animals, especially his "angels", Sofie and Star. Bob was a loyal friend, father, grandfather and faithful husband to his wife, Patti. He is survived by his wife, Patti Turner of Savannah, GA, his son, Robert Turner Jr. and fiance Tina Walker and daughter Demetria Walker of Virginia Beach, VA and his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Steve Williams and two grandsons, Sam and Jackson Williams, all of Greenbrier, AR, two stepdaughters, Bridget King and Christi Mitchum, step son-in-law Richard Mitchum and six step grandchildren Kyle, Trevor, Austin, Britni, Savana and Landyn. He is also survived by a brother, John Turner and nephew, Steele Turner both of Memphis, TN. Visitation will be from 12-1 pm on Friday, February 10, 2012 with memorial service following at Fox & Weeks Hodgson Chapel. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name for the "angels" to the Humane Society located at 7215 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
