BLUFFTON- Eleanor Edwards Helmly, 86, died Friday, February 17, 2012, at her home in Bluffton, SC.
Born in Faulkville, Georgia on December 2, 1925, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Callaway Helmly, Jr.
Surviving are her children, Marie Brooks of Greenville, SC, Thomas Callaway Helmly, III Angela of Bluffton, Ruth Watson Jim of Charlotte, NC, and Jane Addy of Bluffton; her brother, Harry Edwards Reba of Faulkville; 7 Grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012, in Bonaventure Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of the Low Country, 119 Palmetto Way, Bluffton, SC 29910.
