Ruby Louise Parrish

Savannah- Ruby "Louise" Parrish, 86, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Dekalb Medical Center in Atlanta.
She was born in Savannah on April 18, 1925 to John Wallace and Ila Mae Harnidge Stewart. Louise married Charles Edward Parrish, Sr. on June 12, 1943 and remained devoted to him for the next fifty two years. A life-long homemaker, her greatest joy was their seven children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was kind and loving and will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
She is survived by her seven children, Bobbie Ann Fowler of Loganville, GA, Geraldine Wilson of Savannah, Peggy Jean Parrish of Pelion, SC, Charles Edward Parrish, Jr. of Guyton, GA, Hubert Sidney Parrish of Atlanta, GA, Sandra Louise Smoak of Savannah, and John Anthony Parrish of Savannah; eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Mae Scott of Grovetown, GA, Lucille Sikes of Hepzibah, GA, and brother, Lloyd Stewart of Savannah.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
