Frederick Thomas "Fred" DeCampos, 82, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at Azalealand Nursing Home in Savannah, GA. Fred devoted his life to his loving wife and children. His grandchildren were a special joy to him throughout his life. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking and was an avid tinkerer. He was a retired veteran, serving his country for 40 years. He lived most of his life in New Bedford, MA where he worked as a dispatcher for the Department of Public Works until he retired to Savannah. He was preceded in death by
his wife of 60 years Lorraine Lapointe DeCampos.
He is survived by his children Wesley and Joanne DeCampos of Hallowell, ME; Robert and Kathleen DeCampos of So. Dartmouth, MA; Debra and Lester Hendrix of Savannah, GA; grandchildren Brian and Jason DeCampos of Hallowell, ME; Robert DeCampos II of So. Dartmouth, MA; Jodi DeCampos of Acushnet, MA and Sean and Ryan Hendrix of Savannah, GA.
Memorial Service to be held in Massachusetts in July.
