James R.  Usher SMSGT, USAF, Ret.

James Randol Usher SMSGT, USAF, Ret. 80, died Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. He was a native of Statesboro, Georgia and was retired from the United States Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant with 24 years of service. After his retirement, Mr. Usher worked for the Chatham County Board of Education, retiring in 1994.

Surviving are his wife, Bertha A. Usher of Savannah, GA; son, Steven R. Usher Dorothy A. of Savannah, GA; daughter, Sandy U. Lentz Paul A. of Savannah, GA; step-son, Allen H. Tuten Celeste of Nashville, TN; step-daughter, Rebecca T. McClain Ray of Savannah; brother, Jack T. Usher Linda of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012 in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park conducted by Reverend Tom Pharis.
