Marian Zilch Briscoe
SAVANNAH - Marian Zilch Briscoe, 83, daughter of the late William James and Gladys Nichols Zilch, died Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Memorial University Medical Center.
The St. Petersburg, FL native was a longtime resident of Savannah and a 1946 graduate of Savannah High School. She was a housewife and a wonderful loving mother to her children and her many dogs. She also enjoyed the tunes of Frank Sinatra and playing golf. She was a longtime member of the Savannah Golf Club.
Marian was a member of White Bluff United Methodist Church and a volunteer with Hospice Savannah.
She is survived by her son, Robert Briscoe Rhonda of Savannah; her daughter, Barbara Sheehan Ross of Savannah; three grandsons, Tanner Sheehan Shelby, Ryan Sheehan Camilla, and Bryan Briscoe Brie; a granddaughter, Laura Briscoe; four great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Carson Sheehan and Charlie and Richard Briscoe; and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edwin Briscoe, Jr. and her sister, Betty Benton.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The Funeral Service will be held at Hillcrest Abbey Mausoleum on Wheaton Street at 11:00 am on Tuesday.
The family would like to extend special appreciation to her loving caregivers.
