Wilma Louise Nichols Snowden
May 14, 1936 - May 27, 2012
Savannah- Wilma Louise Nichols Snowden, 76, died Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Tara Nursing Home under the care of Hospice Advantage.
Wilma was born in Savannah to Beurchael and Minnie Lou Nichols. She worked in the meat department at Piggly Wiggly on Wilmington Island for thirteen years and was a member of the Eastern Star. Her husband of fifty four years, Roy E. Snowden, Sr. preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Bill Lewis and his wife, Tricia Boone; Pam Snowden Murphy and her husband, Mike all of Savannah; Eddie Snowden of Tybee Island; Paula Snowden of Savannah; brothers, C.B. Nichols of Savannah, Donald Nichols of Macon; seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Funeral: 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care extended to Wilma by Dr. Masood Ahmed, Tara Nursing Home and the staff of Candler Hospital, ICU .
