Savannah- Dorothy E. Brewton, 90, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born in Millen, GA on August 7, 1921. She was a lifelong homemaker and a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class at Immanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty three years, William H. Brewton and her son, Bill Brewton.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Gene Rogers of Lyons, GA and Linda and Ellis Connell of Savannah; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Cindy & Herbert Burton of Lyons, Wanda & Mark Deen of Vidalia, Tony Clark, Ginger Baldwin Rogers of Forsyth, GA, Calvin Connell and Angie of Rincon, GA, Carol & Robbie Nelson of Collins, GA, Billy Brewton, Diane Munger & Debra Brewton of MS; twenty three great-grandchildren, and twenty great-great grandchildren.
Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, June 8, 2012 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors with Rev. Steve McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
