Tybee Island - Clara "Dink" Ezekiel Abney Glisson Vogel Drennon, 93, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. She was born in Acworth, Georgia, daughter of Robert A. and Henrietta Barnett Abney. Mrs. Drennon lived on Tybee Island since 1956 and built, owned and operated the Royal Palm Motel. She was a member of Trinity Chapel United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, Tybee Island Optimist Club, Tybee Island Garden Club and the Tuesday Night Supper Club. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry H. Glisson, William Vogel and Finis Drennon.
Surviving are her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Gene Glisson of Savannah GA; Donald Jerry and Jann Glisson of Redmond, WA; daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Richard Magune of Tybee Island, GA; grandchildren, Robert Ross Glisson and his wife, Julianne of Savannah, GA; Michele Glisson and her husband, Paul Mannino of Seattle. WA; Kathy Cook and her husband, Kevin of Tybee Island, GA; four great grandchildren, Annabelle Glisson, Ross Glisson, Matteo Mannino and Kelly Cook.
Visitation: 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 201 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
Funeral: 2:30 p.m., Monday, June 11, 2012 in the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
