GUEST BOOK

I would like to extend my sincerest condolences to John’s family. I met John in September of 1991 when I came to National Airport as an inspector. We became friends very quickly, mostly due to his professionalism and dedication to doing the best job possible. His leadership abilities were outstanding and everyone who came in contact with John respected him. His sense of humor was one of his best qualities. I will always remember John as a friend and a mentor.

I first met John at Dulles Airport in 1989 when I was first starting in the safety profession. John saw potential in me and went out of his way to coach and mentor me, give me encouragement, love and support. All of those qualities were who John was and what I will remember him for being to me and so many others.

- William G. Thompson IV, LOS ANGELES, CA

I met John several years back when he came to Dulles Airport to be our Safety Director. He was great person with great sense of humor, very fun to be around and at the same time he was an exceptional professional who helped the program running smooth. He was loved and respected by all and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go to the family.

I first met John 24 years ago at National Airport. We soon became friends and cohorts. It was great working with someone with a sense of humor and at the same time he provided all those that worked with him the leadership and professionalism necessary to be successful. John set the standard for safety in our industry. I learned a lot from John and called him many times over the years when I needed help. When I needed someone to turn the safety program around at Dulles, John came a running. That was John. He was always there to help. I will miss our chats and certainly I will miss his enthusiasm and his laugh. Bruce Swanson

But they who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not be faint.' May you take comfort in His assurance of eternal life free of pain and sorrow. With deepest sympathy,
