Barbara Ann Freeman White

Tybee Island - Barbara Ann Freeman White, 77, died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Candler Hospital. Mrs. White was born in Brunson, South Carolina and lived most of her adult life in Port Wentworth and Garden City prior to moving to Tybee Island. She was a homemaker and faithful member of Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Mrs. White was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her husband, Jack Avery White, preceded her in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Carol Ann Scott Jim and Sharon Hohenstein Joe of Savannah; Debra Stephens Dan currently living in Moscow, ID; one son, Dr. John Leihugh Moseley Laura of Griffin, GA; step-son, Dennis A. White of Folkston, GA; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren

Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.

Graveside Service: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2012 in Bonaventure Cemetery with Reverend Dr. David Laughner officiating.

Remembrances: Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1644, Tybee Island, GA 31328.
