At the time of her death, Cindy was the Director of the Budget and Research Department for the City of Savannah. She held previous public administration positions with the City of Kansas City, City of Tulsa, City of Dallas, and the State of New Mexico.
Cindy's passion was art and her paintings and pottery have been exhibited in galleries throughout Texas, including Fredericksburg, Ft. Worth and Houston. Her artistic creativity was always displayed in the unique design and décor of the homes in which she lived.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Williamson of Savannah; her three brothers, William Marietta, DDS of Albuquerque, Richard Marietta, MD and wife, Cyndi, of Houston and John Marietta, MD and wife, Jeanne, of Austin. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and husband, Lucy and Jim Ferrell of Lubbock. She has 12 nieces and nephews.
Cindy was blessed with many close friends. She had friends that grew up together, traveled together, shared joys together and endured sorrows together. These friendships were among her most cherished "possessions".
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in Texas at a date to be determined.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to: Austin College, 900 N. Grand Ave., Sherman, TX 75090-4400; your local SPCA or animal shelter or the charity of your choice.
