Celebrating the life of

Kevin Michael Webb

July 12, 1988 - May 12, 2019

“When I die, turn me into a tree so my Great-Great-Great Grandchildren can chop me down and turn me into a table.” – Kevin Webb

Kevin Michael Webb

Kevin Michael Webb, 30, of Pittsburgh, PA unexpectedly passed away on May 12, 2019.  He was born on July 12, 1988 in Downingtown, PA, the son of Jack Webb and Deborah Webb (Smith).  He attended Georgia Southern University, where he graduated in December 2018 with a Bachelors Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management.  As an active board member of the APICS Savannah Chapter, he was the assistant VP of student affairs.  Upon graduation, Kevin was hired as the Sales Optimization Manager for Diamond Crystal Brands.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Melissa Webb of Savannah, GA and their unborn son.  Other surviving family members included his mother Deborah A. Smith (Darrel G. Smith), father Jack Webb, brothers John Webb (Tiffany Webb) and Donald Webb (Emilianna Webb), parents-in-law Pablo and Celia Vasquez, brother-in-law Michael Vasquez, and step-siblings Tara and Kristian Smith.  Kevin is also survived by nieces and nephews Daniel, Gabby, Molly, Alaina, Lucian, Roselyn, and his beloved dog Maximus Melvin Webb.

Kevin’s favorite pastime was spending his off days sitting on the couch in his underwear, surfing the internet with Max.  All kidding aside, Kevin enjoyed cooking with family, golfing, Steeler Nation, concerts, and spending the last ten years with Mel by his side.  His love for life made his giggles extremely contagious and his playful demeanor drew many friends.  He was dedicated and determined to obtain a higher education in order to provide for his growing family.  Kevin was also eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first son in the fall, with unconditional love from the first moment they found out they were expecting. This incredible husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend will be deeply missed by all.

Kevin’s service will be at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors on Hodgson Memorial Drive on Saturday, May 18, 2019.  Please join us for visitation at 3:00 pm, with the service to follow at 4:00 pm.

On behalf of the family we extend our sincere gratitude to all through this difficult time.  The love, kindness, and support we have received has been truly appreciated.  A special thank you to the APICS Savannah Chapter for creating the Kevin Webb Student Scholarship Fund, benefiting a deserving student each year.

GUEST BOOK

I had the pleasure of working with Kevin during our time together at Georgia Southern. He was one of the most dedicated and thoughtful people I knew. I graduated a semester prior to Kevin and he would occasionally message me to see how I was doing and offer words of support during my job search. Thank You Kevin, You will be missed.

My wife and I would like to offer our condolences to Kevin's family and friends, particularly Melissa. We both knew we lucked out in getting this friendly, fun and hardworking couple as new neighbors when we moved in next door last year. Kevin was the first to greet us, with a smile, a handshake, and some sharing of who he was, and he also listened well, which is a rarity these days! We would like to offer any help we can to Melissa in these next days, weeks and months.

Kev, I keep laughing and crying. I'm so honored to be able to call you one of my best friends growing up. And whenever we got to talk even though we didn't talk or see each other much, when we were able to everything was like it always was. I'll miss you, buddy. To your wife and family, I hope God comforts you during all this

You were one of the first people I met when i started Longhorn. The crazy work nights, insane doubles, you turning into the Hulk when you got mad, Kevin's infectious smile and of course, his sweat rag. I am so honored to have met you, your wonderful wife, and soon, your son. I will watch every Steelers game this season. You are truly missed. You will never be forgotten.
