Enjoyed many overnighters at Arthur's in the mid 50's. We terrorized the creatures of the woods and marsh with our single shot 22's. Fond memories of carefree days spent with a young boy of gentle disposition. Semper Fi, Jimmy Pelli

I'm going to miss you like crazy. My sandwiches at Grandaddys house will never be the same without your special bread. The memories I have of us clam hunting, stuffing our hands in a bucket of change, and the stories you would tell us about growing up in Savannah will always be with me! I loved him greatly. When I was about 10, he took me through Wilmington Island with not a house in sight and showed me all the American Indian mounds and shoot squirrels with a .22. To this day, I visit the same mounds he showed me. I adored Arthur all my life. Cousin Nancy Toshach Heffernan

Michael, Peggy and I were so sad to hear the news. He and Daddy were so much like brothers, for us 'Uncle' came before his name. It is a great loss to everyone. Words can't describe it - our Uncle Arthur. Harriette always seemed to like him best, so they are laughing it up now. Our Thoughts and Prayers - Sam

<3 All my love to you sweet man, I know you and Jimmy are doing some serious 'fellowshipping' right now!<3 Frank & Ruth -I am so very sorry but take comfort in knowing that he was such a special special man to his 'other family'and made such precious memories with Barrett and my children during their lifetimes that they will never forget.

I only met Arthur on two ocassions, and both times were in the last year. I found Arthur to be both kind and very friendly, someone who I hoped to see and visit with again at the next opportunity. Even in such a short time I was impressed by Arthurs character and friendliness. I am saddened by his loss.
