SAVANNAH, GA- Sarah "Eliza" Pritchard Bailey, 90, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012 surrounded by her beloved family after a short stay at Tara Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Thunderbolt, GA.
She was born in Swainsboro, Georgia, March 20, 1922, to James E. Pritchard and Rebecca Ella Cannady and was a lifelong member of First Christian Church. She retired after 20 years of service as resident manager with Life Investors Realty, a national property management company. Known as "Nana" to her family, she was extremely close to her children and grandchildren. She always had time for family and friends and her memory will live on through them. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John A. Bailey, Sr., as well as four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her children, John A. Bailey, Jr. Pegi of Savannah; Richard V. Bailey Donna of Charleston, SC and Joyce Bailey of Savannah; grandchildren, Rebecca D. Bailey, Jessica C. Bailey, Richard "Blake" Bailey, Kathryn M. Bailey, and Ashley L. Bailey, and many many friends.
Graveside services will be private.
