GUEST BOOK

Bobby was a sweet man and shared the best stories about SoCal racing scene and the Tybee area. He had a great sense of humor and empathy. I will miss him. May the good earth be soft under you When you rest upon it, May it rest easy over you, At the last, you lay out under it, And may it rest so lightly over you That your soul may be out From under it quickly, and up, and off, And be on its way to God. Goodbye for now my friend.

Bob Kitchens was a great friend. We worked together at Douglas Aircraft in Longbeach, California. Then at Gulfstream in Savannah, GA. In fact, it was Bob who helped me get hired on at Gulfstream. But Bob always told me, he was raised as a Texan in California. I always thought of him as a Texan. My memories of Savannah and Tybee Island will always include Bob & Elaine as they made it a wonderful experience. It means so much to have good friends to hang out with when moving to a new town. He and Elaine made my parents feel like one of the gang when they came to visit me in Savanah. Likewise with everyone in Tybee. My parents loved that visit. They are not with us anymore but they always asked how Bob & Elaine were doing. I am sorely going to miss Bob and that big ole Texas grin of his.

So sorry for your loss Elaine. He will always be remembered for his great smile and willingness to help do anything and everything. I really enjoyed our short time together and hope his spirit will continue to guide us until we meet again . He is like a ship going over the horizon at sunset, gone only from our sight, but still big as ever, and as we watch him disappear, others are watching him come up on a new horizon. God bless you. Love and light.
