James "Jim" M. Chapman

James

Savannah- James M. Chapman, 77, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 while traveling in Mallorca, Spain.
He was born in Detroit, Michigan and attended Wayne State University, Michigan State University and later retired from United Parcel Service. Mr. Chapman served on the board of the Salvation Army for many years in Columbus, Ohio and in Savannah. He also served with the National Guard, Youth Challenge, the board of the Savannah Food Bank, the board of the Georgia USO, and was Past President of the Skidaway Kiwanis. He loved to travel and could say that he accomplished everything he wanted to do and enjoyed it all very much.
Surviving are his wife, Verna Chapman; daughters, Wendy Chapman, Sandra Rosnik Michael; son, Douglas Yuhn; sister, Sally Rogind; brothers, Tom Chapman Carol, Ken Chapman Pat, David Chapman Elaine, and Craig Chapman.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Skidaway Island United Methodist Church.
