Nettie O. Kelley
Nettie O. Kelley, 83, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Hospice Savannah. She was born June 6, 1929 in Holland. Nettie was a member of Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church for over 29 years. She was active in many areas of the church, serving as a dedicated volunteer in the office, a member of the Communications Committee, and the Elizabeth Circle. She was also a member of the Marcie McCurry Sunday School class, the Christian Education Committee, and was Head of the Ushers.
Nettie was also a volunteer for the Village Library Program, and a volunteer in the Public School Literacy Program. She was a member of The Landings Club for over 30 years, and also Encore.
Nettie was most proud of being the 9 Hole Champion at the Rockaway River Country Club in Denville, NJ.
She was preceded in death by her husband William M. Kelley, Jr.
She is survived by two sisters, Els and Ank, both of Holland, her niece, Ginny Washkau, and her husband, Joseph, of Randolph, NJ, and other relatives.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., at the Skidaway Island Presbyterian Church.
