SAVANNAH - Hugh J. Nichuals, 70, of Isle of Hope, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. He was the husband of Angela Nichuals.
Born in Manhattan, New York in 1942, he was a son of the late James and Elizabeth Potter Nichuals. Hugh served his country faithfully in the US Army and retired from the New York City Police Department. He was an avid volunteer and a member of several civic organizations, spending the happiest decade of his life in Savannah after retirement.
Hugh was predeceased by his sister, Carol Hoffman and brother, Dan Nichuals. In addition to his wife, Hugh is survived by his brothers Bill, John, and Bob Nichuals, brothers-in-law, John and Dan, sisters-in-law, Geri and Angella, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Cody.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2012, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.

I have know 'Nick' forever, probably back in the 70's. If you needed any kind of help he was always there. 10yrs could go by and when we would meet up again it was as if time never went by. He was a forever friend. He will be greatly missed.
