GUEST BOOK

My Aunt Marianna was great and powerful woman. She was also kind and thoughtful in every way. She had a twinkle in her eye that brought out the best in all she came into contact with. I will be missing her in my life.

- Terence Powers Jr., Springfield, VA

Mrs. Seyden was a friend as well as my role model. She was my lead teacher at Tybee Island Elementary 1969-72 - what an inspiration she was! She was my mother's friend as well as the mother of my brother's and myself's Seyden friends! She let us swim and fish behind her house as we grew up! I loved her spirit, knowledge and her smile! She was one in a million! Glad she came into my life! God bless her kids and grands. Thanks for sharing her with Tybee and me!! Kathy Roach Looper and the Roach family

- Kathy Roach Looper, tybee is, GA

What a wonderful teacher she was. Us kids at Tybee school were so jealous of her beautiful Mustang and we all wanted to ride in it! When I finally began college it was the study habits that she had instilled in me many years before that were finally put to good use. 'Looking forward to seeing you in Glory'

- Donna Clark Piper, Tybee, GA

I was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Marianna. She lived a very long and full life. May her soul rest in piece. I will always remember her in my prayers. JOE FAYER

- JOSEPH FAYER, PHILADELPHIA, PA

Marianna's life was rich and beautiful! Those of us who had the pleasure of being in her company for even a short while, were blessed by her presence. I will remember so much about her: speaking at city hall in 1998 on behalf of the old Tybee DeSoto Hotel, referring to it as a 'Grand Lady with a dirty face, but still a magnolia, which needed to be saved and restored.' Her sense of humor was contagious - she was once asked her age, and after refusing to answer, she whispered to me: 'A woman who'll tell her age, will tell anything!' Her spirit will be among us always, and Tybee Island is a better place because she was here! Sincere condolences to her loving family and devoted friends. Sincerely, Shirley Sessions

- Shirley Sessions, Tybee Island, GA
