My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am grateful to have met a wonderful saint who walked among us. I met Dr. Joe at Candler many years ago then to reunite at Azalealand where Lena his wife resided for some years. Joe was there everyday to care for his wife in such loving ways. I took the Holy Eucharist to the Catholic residents and Joe was there to help me and others. To this very day, the staff always asks whether I see Dr. Joe and to please extend their greetings to him for they admired him so....yes I say I had seen him at church......and at my store. I will miss this exemplary man who taught many of us humility to the finest degree.

May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, May the rain fall upon your fields, And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of His hand. Farewell Mr. Joe

My prayers are with the Mulherin family. Dr. Joe was always friendly and very pleasant. My dad spoke very highly of him and had a tremendous amount of respect for him as did I. May you all dwell fondly on the memories of good times spent together.

Joe was a superb and caring doctor and anesthesiologist. He was my favorite partner to work with and he taught me many pearls of anesthesia that you don't find in a textbook. He was a true southern gentleman from Augusta and a true Irishman. Margaret loved his sincere compliments and his willingness to do anything for anyone. I will still never forget the time he missed work only to get in the mix of setting the green grits on fire one St Patricks day. He will truly be remembered for his wonderful attributes.

- Tim and Margaret Wallace, Savannah, GA

We would like to tell you how much that we thought of PeePa. We enjoyed visiting with him at family gatherings. He was well thought of and loved his little pets.

- Mr. & Mrs. Chester McConaghy, Hinesville, GA

To all the Mulherin Family: I'm so sorry I cannot make it to the Rosary or Funeral. I'm sure Joe will know my heart is there. We went back a long time and he will be truely missed as he was one of a kind. I have so many good memories of him and Lena. The good times we had at the coast fishing, catching crabs and watching the kids swing from the rope into the river. Yes Joe you will be missed. Love to all of you.

Joe, you would always listen to me and tell me stories and family history. You are an amazing man and anyone who talked to you for an instance would agree. You welcomed me into your family when I married your Daughter Theresa. You called me Son so many times I cannot count. We laughed together many times and talked about the past. Your personal history and life was so interesting to me. You cared for everyone no matter who they were, rich or poor, color did not matter, if you were good, they were loved by you. You have so inspired me Joe, for the rest of my life, as I celebrate my Birth date of January 19, 1961, probably the height of your professional career as a Doctor, and your resting date of January 19, 2013, you can say that you completed 'A JOB WELL DONE' and your going to rest now with Lena and enjoy the accomplishments of your children, Grand Children and Great Grand Children. I Love You so Much Joe, Rest In Peace' Sir.... Love, Roger...your Son in Law
