Nadine Swinson Douglas, 90, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Azalealand Nursing Home. The native and lifelong resident of Savannah was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church where she was active in many functions of the church. She retired as a nurse from Candler Hospital after more than 30 years of service.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Ivy Douglas, of Savannah, Jerry Glen Douglas, of Crofton, KY, one sister, Betty Saxon, of Savannah, one brother, Curtis E. Swinson, of Savannah, and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2013 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Service will be12:30 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
Remembrances may be made to Hospice Savannah or Azalealand Nursing Home.

We use to spend a night or so at her house everytime we visited. I remember sleepwalking and talking there. She was an awesome cook. There was always food out.
