Dear Eva, Alena, Bryan, My heart breaks with the news of Ed's passing. He was a wonderful man and a blessing to family and my son, Bobby. He coached many hours and always had a smile on his face. He helped shape many boys through out the years and remained their friend when they became adults. Each one of us knew if we needed him he would be there. He will truely be missed by all. We were all blessed to have had him in our life.

I have known Ed for many years prior to soccer. He was always very good for the kids and everyone. Many people do not remember and many do not know that Ed was one of three people who met with the President of the State of Georgia Soccer Association. From that meeting the ball started rolling for Coastal Georgia Soccer Association. My hat was always off for Ed. My prayers go out to all of the family.
- Walter Hagan, Savannah, GA

Coach Caldwell shaped many lives but no more than the players he coached. He was a fixture in our lives from ages 8 to 18. He spent thousands of hours and drove thousands of miles across the country coaching the Savannah Bullets '77 soccer team. It was his vision to put Savannah soccer on the map and he accomplished it by guiding the Bullets from a recreational team to Georgia Premier and Classic Division Champions. His laugh could be heard from miles away and his positive spirit never wavered. Coach Caldwell made us better players--but most importantly--he made us better men. It should be everyone's sincere hope to have such a positive impact on as many people's lives as he did. Mrs. Eva, Alena & Bryan--I am so sorry for your loss and you will be in my prayers. Please know how much we loved your father and how many people his spirit touched. T.J. Hollis
