Richard Michael Pozorski
September 22, 1949 - February 22, 2013
SAVANNAH – Richard M. Pozorski, 63, died February 22 at Candler Hospital under the care of Hospice Savannah, surrounded by his children.
He was born September 22, 1949 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and had been a resident of Savannah for 31 years.
Richard served in the Air Force from 1968 to 1976 and was a Vietnam Veteran.
After leaving the service Richard worked for Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee before taking a job with Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah in 1982. Upon his retirement from Gulfstream he worked for Computer Sciences Corporation until 2009.
Surviving are his mother Bertha, his sisters, Kathlyn, Margery, and Barbara, his brother Michael, his sons, Matthew and David, and his granddaughter Jocelyn.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directots, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2013 in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
The family suggests remembrances be made in his memory to any of the following: Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, Veterans of Foreign Wars, or Victory Junction.
