Bobby "Eugene" Stembridge, 65, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Savannah, GA.
Mr. Stembridge was born in Savannah, GA on February 26, 1948, the son of the late Wesley Isaac Stembridge and Mittie Cassie Perkins Stembridge. He attended Chatham County Public Schools. He greatly enjoyed country music and country western television shows.
Mr. Stembridge is survived by his brothers, Wesley Isaac Stembridge, Jr. and wife Sally of Savannah and Danny Cass Stembridge and wife Mona of Richmond Hill; aunts and uncles, Chris Mobley of Savannah, Katherine and Larry Shea of Rincon, Donald Jones of Ridgeland, SC, and Anita Stembridge of Andrews, NC. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank Doctors Robert Weeks, Keith Dimond, Charles Duckworth, Sidney Smith, William Garrett, Fremont Wirth, and Willard Thompson, as well as the staff of Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center for the kind care and support afforded to them.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Sunday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with burial following at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Brian Stembridge, Jason Stembridge, Tom Durrence, Greg Harris, Joey Wallace, and Ronnie Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Remembrances may be made to the Kicklighter Resource Center, 7219 Seawright Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
Just found out about Bobby. He was such a sweet person. When visiting Charlie - when walking by Bobby's door--He always had a smile on his face. God Bless You and Your Family.
