Ursula Maria "Ulla" Eubanks, 87, died Monday, April 8, 2013 in Savannah.
Mrs. Eubanks was born in Paderborn, Germany on October 27, 1925, the daughter of the late George H. Richter and Philippina Van de Maela Richter. She practiced for many years as a Registered Nurse in Germany as well as Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. She was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. James Catholic Church.
Mrs. Eubanks was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Earl E. Eubanks. She is survived by her daughter, Diana E. Eubanks of Savannah; sister, Louise R. Hauger of New York; stepson, Earl E. Eubanks, Jr. and wife Carole of Peachtree City, GA; stepdaughters, Barbara A. McCord and husband James of Peachtree City, GA and Alice M. Figalan and husband Victor of Valencia, CA; sister-in-law, Gretel Richter of Germany; goddaughters, Michaela Boerste of Germany, Maria Ursula Zipperer of Tybee Island, and Denise Hoffman of Malvern, PA and her beloved grandcat, Patricia.
A Vigil Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will be receiving friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday at St. James Catholic Church. A private burial will take place at Beaufort National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made to St. James Catholic Church, 8412 Whitfield Avenue, Savannah, GA 31406 or any veterans or wildlife organizations.
