SAVANNAH – Idell Crosby McDonald, born in Dearing, GA on December 29, 1934, departed on April 13, 2013 in Candler Hospital.
She was Valedictorian of her graduating class at Dearing High School which landed her a job at Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA in 1952. In 1956 she accepted the Receptionist job with Union Bag – Camp Paper Corp. where she represented the company and was later promoted to Industrial Relations Representative, retiring after a total of forty-one dedicated years of service.
She was a member of Skidaway Island United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Cliff H. McDonald; her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Otis DeMott; her grandson, Barry DeMott; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Skidaway Island United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church, 54 Diamond Causeway, Savannah, GA 31411.
