Peter Pete Eugene Perfect
SAVANNAH - Pete, 84, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2013 at Hospice Savannah. Pete was born in Savannah in 1928 to Hilda and Charles Perfect and except for his service in the U.S. Army, remained a life long resident of Chatham County. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in the Army of Occupation in Germany immediately following WWII. He was a barber for over 55 years and is best remembered for owning and operating "Pete's Barber Shop" in Sandfly, GA and for a number of years having a residence on Easy Street. His many talents included writing and reciting poetry, playing classical piano wonderfully and singing in the choir. He was a longtime and faithful member of Bible Baptist Church.
Pete lived at Marsh View Senior Living for many years and he came to regard the staff and residents as true friends. The family extends special thanks and appreciation to the staff of Marsh View for the concern and care given to Pete before his going to Hospice. Additional thanks also are given to the staff of Hospice Savannah for their care of Pete.
His parents and his sister, Evelyn Perfect Allen, preceded him in death. He is survived by his niece, Louise Anderson, and nephews Andy Allen Suzie, Sam Allen, Jr. Robin and Steve Allen Pam.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances to Bible Baptist Church, 4700 Skidaway Rd, Savannah, GA 31404, the American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice.

To the Family of Pete,we offer our deepest sympathy,but know that he is with the Lord in Heaven,playing the most wonderful piano music for the Heavely Host.He will be missed.Up until he closed shop,my family went to him.He even came to our home when Daddy was ill,and cut his hair.He gave all my brothers their first haircuts,and when my sister saw it,she wanted her hair cut.Well,after my brother cut one side of her hair himselfhe was only 6,and she was 4,Momma found them,took my sister to Pete,and he evened it up.We will always love you Pete,and keep you in our hearts and memories.
