Savannah- Lillie Mae Rogers, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 08, 2013.
Lillie Mae was retired from the state of South Carolina, Department of Labor. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She had a passion for gardening, bird watching and loved to travel with friends. For many years, she has been a member of White Bluff United Methodist Church, which was of great importance in her life. Her husband, George L. Rogers, Sr. preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Andrea Kaye Edwards and her husband, Kenny Edwards; son, George L. Rogers, Jr. and his wife, Victoria Rogers; grandchildren, Chad Barrington Rogers, Brian Stuart Edwards, Jennifer Rogers Spires, Ashley Brooke Edwards, Victoria Bentley Edwards; great-grandchildren, Morgan Cameron Spires, Taylor Morgan Spires, Cameron Jason Spires, Luke Barrington Rogers, Teagan Olivia Rogers, and Jack Alexander Edwards.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Burial will take place at a later date in Columbia, South Carolina.
