BLOOMINGDALE - Jonnie Hendrix Chaplin, 81, died Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Savannah.
Ms. Chaplin was born in Bulloch County, GA on November 8, 1931, the daughter of the late John Alfred Hendrix and Inez Butler Hendrix. She was employed by Union Camp for many years and ultimately retired from Dollar General. She was a member of Delesseps Avenue Baptist Church.
Ms. Chaplin was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ollie Clarence Chaplin. She is survived by her son, Owen Chris Chaplin of Bloomingdale; daughter, Ginni Fandrich Kevin of Rincon; grandchildren, Jason Chaplin, Matthew Chaplin, Amy White, and Renee Chaplin and great-grandchildren, Aanjali and Willow Chaplin.
The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
