SAVANNAH - Brooks L. Hamm, Jr., 61, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 1, 2013.
The native and lifelong resident of Savannah was a graduate of Jenkins High School and Armstrong Atlantic State University. He was a well-known local BBQ Master, a member of Isle of Hope United Methodist Church, the Isle of Hope Volunteer Fire Department and a First Responder.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Herrin Hamm; his son, Kyle Hamm of Savannah; and his daughter, Mallory Hamm of London, England.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Wednesday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Isle of Hope United Methodist Church, 412 Parkersburg Road, Savannah, GA 31406, Isle of Hope Fire Department, 409 Parkersburg Rd., Savannah, GA 31406, or the American Diabetes Association, 5105 Paulsen St., Suite 236-C, Savannah, GA 31405.
