Savannah - Ruby Elizabeth "Libby" Proctor, 55, died Monday, June 10, 2013 at Oceanside Nursing Home under the care of Hospice Advantage. She was born in Savannah, daughter of Bernie L. and Julia Brannen Proctor. She was a graduate of Johnson High School and worked in the food service industry at the Hyatt Regency, Desoto Hilton, and Pirate's House and most recently at the Grapevine on Wilmington Island. Libby previously lived in the Ft. Lauderdale area for ten years where she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ft. Lauderdale. She was preceded in death by her father.
Surviving are her mother, Julia Brannen Proctor of Savannah; brother, Bennie E. Proctor and his wife, Dixie of Rutherfordton, NC; two sisters, Judy Faye Brown of New Iberia, LA; Carolyn Ann Proctor of Savannah and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
The graveside funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 13, 2013 in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery conducted by Reverend Marshall Ray.
