Savannah - David Bryte Jacobs, Sr., 75, of Savannah passed away August 27, 2013 at Memorial University Medical Center. He was born in Savannah, son of the late Ruby Williams and Bryte Jacobs. He was local paint contractor. David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Jacobs, son, David Jacobs Jr. both of Savannah; daughters, Cathy Fagaines, Glenda Ray and Jennifer Jacobs all of Springfield; brother, Edmond Burnsed of Tybee Island; sister, Mikie Cowart of Bluffton; six grandchildren, several great grandchldren and his beloved dog, "SPARKY".

A private memorial service was held August 30, 2013 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel officiated by Father Patrick O'Brien.
