Helen Anne Tugwood

Helen Anne Tugwood died on September 15, 2013 at her residence after a long illness. Ann was born on December 8, 1930 in Lima Peru. She spent the majority of her youth growing up in Lima. She and her father later moved to Savannah where she remained until her death. She was predeceased by her parents George Francis Tugwood and Mae Lucille Butler Tugwood and her brother, John. Ann was a communicant of Saint Frances Cabrini Church.

She is survived by the following cousins:
Harry Galvan Butler of Savannah, Paula Butler Williams of Athens, Ga, Anita Butler Ryll of Savannah, J. Craig Butler of Savannah, Marsha Butler Thompson of Savannah, Mary Anne Butler of Savannah, John George Butler of Savannah, Cathy Butler Cathcart of Wilton, CT, Dr. Frank Kennedy Butler of Pensacola, FL, Margaret Butler Sewell of Savannah, Mary Butler Bizenbos of New Orleans, LA, Capt. Edward George Butler of Charleston, SC, Patrick Warner Butler of Virginia Beach, Va and Elizabeth Butler Paternostro of Houston, TX. Her father's relatives in England: John Richard Tugwood, Terry David Tugwood, Evelyn Diana Tugwood Holmes and the late Anthony James Tugwood.

Ann was surrounded by loving caregivers during her illness. The family gives special thanks to Linda Coleman.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 17 at the Hodgson Chapel of Fox and Weeks at 5:30pm with the Vigil Service following at 6:30pm The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 18 at 11:00am at Saint Francis Cabrini Church officiated by Msgr. Francis Nelson. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Section of the Catholic Cemetery.
