Teresa Odette Spillane

Teresa Odette Spillane died Friday October 11, 2013 following a short illness. Teresa, who was affectionately known to as "Terry", was born May 11, 1957 and was a lifelong resident of Savannah, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Michael Spillane and grandparents, Thomas Reginald and Elizabeth Morgan Spillane, Hazel Fletcher Hammond Cadle and Walter Hammond.

Terry graduated from St. Vincent's Academy, class of 1975 where she cherished her times in Les Chanteurs Chorus. At Armstrong State College in 1980, Terry received a Bachelor of Arts in History minoring in English. Terry enjoyed volunteering with Savannah Little Theater and Ballet South.

Terry was a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She attended grade school at Blessed Sacrament. Terry thought the world of her nieces and nephews & enjoyed sharing many treasured family events with them. She enjoyed listening to their stories & enjoyed spoiling them.

Terry is survived by her mother, Marilyn Hammond Spillane, two sisters, Susan Spillane Lai Ken and Marilyn Spillane-Hodges, her aunt, Janet Teresa Spillane, her uncle, Charles B. Spillane, Sr. Brenda, and several nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with a Vigil Service at 6:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at The Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Burial will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.

The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Vincent's Academy, 201 East Liberty Street, Savannah, GA 31401 or a charity of the donor's choice.
