Stanley Simpson Mock

Savannah- Stanley passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 3, 2013.
He is survived by his mother, Bettie Simpson Mock; sister, Margaret Elizabeth Brady of Santa Clara, CA Bruce; brother, Phillip H. Mock; niece, April E. Tarbuskovich John of Sunnyvale, CA; nephews, Phillip Anthony Mock Jessie and Andrew Carl Mock Amy; numerous great nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Francis Mock.
Stanley was a graduate of H.V. Jenkins High School, class of 1964. He proudly served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. He retired from CSX after 39 years on the railroad.
He had a passion for music and studied piano and voice in his youth. He wore out many headphones over the years listening to his wide range of favorites.
Stanley will be lovingly remembered for his quiet strength and his devotion to family. Always a giver, he has also blessed the lives of others with his eye and tissue donations through LifeLink.
A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2013 at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 9114 Whitfield Ave., Savannah, GA 31406.
